If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be and why?
I would choose Peter Egan the actor. I have long admired his speaking voice.
What is your biggest fear?
My biggest fear, ironically, is being stuck in a lift.
Do you have any superstitions?
Yes, as a yachtswoman I would never change the name of our yacht as it is supposed to be bad luck.
If you could have one song on your iPod, what would it be and why?
Sunset Tonight, by James Ryan, a brilliant singer / songwriter.
What’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought not including your property?
A 33-foot racer cruiser yacht, the subject of my latest book.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Exercise caution in business affairs.
What’s your indulgence?
Writing.
What item could you not live without?
I could not live without my computer.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why?
That’s a difficult question. I’m not sure I would change anything about myself to any advantage.
Where are you next going on holiday?
I am hoping to go to my favourite island of Barbados for my next holiday, the subject of the third book in a trilogy
