CAERPHILLY residents are being urged to recycle their old computers and mobile phones.

The council’s IT Amnesty campaign, which aims to recycle and refurbish old computers and mobile phones, begins on Friday.

The items will be fully refurbished and provided to people who don’t currently have access to modern digital equipment.

Unwanted items can be left at collection points across the county borough until January 18.

They are Asda Caerphilly and council libraries on January 11, Genesis Bargoed Institute, Oxford House, Risca and Penallta House council offices the week beginning January 14.

They can also be left at Asda Blackwood on January 16 and 17 and council libraries on January 18.

Businesses can get involved by calling 08456 446644 to arrange collection.
