A SECOND arrest has been made in the search for a Newbridge man who police fear may have been murdered.

A 62-year-old man from Newbridge was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice last night by Gwent police investigating the disappearance of Kyle Vaughan, 24.

A 27-year-old man from Blackwood who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Thursday remains in police custody.

The last confirmed sightings of Mr Vaughan were made during the late evening of December 30 in the Abercarn and Risca areas.

At around 11.45pm that night, police officers found Mr Vaughan's silver Peugeot 306 car on the A467 between Risca and Crosskeys. It is believed the car had been involved in a collision.
