Murderer on the run after absconding from prison in Prescoed, Usk
8:30am Tuesday 15th January 2013 in News
ON THE RUN: Brian Grady
A CONVICTED killer and robber has absconded from Prescoed prison.
Gwent Police is appealing for information to locate 26-year-old Brian Grady (also known as Brian Revill) who failed to return to HMP Prescoed on Monday 14th January.
In July 2003 he was sentenced to serve at least 11 years at Bristol Crown Court after being convicted of murder and robbery.
He is described as white, 5ft 11ins, of medium build, with short light brown hair and blue eyes. He has a scar under his left eye and speaks with a Bristol accent.
He is not a registered sex offender.
Gwent Police said: "It is believed there may be a potential risk to the public due to the fact that he is no longer in the custody of the prison service."
It’s believed Brian could be in the Bristol area where he has contacts.
Members of the public are advised not to approach him but to call police if they have any information regarding his whereabouts on 101 (01633 838111 outside Gwent).

This person may only have 1-2 years of his 11 year sentence left to serve but he is a convicted murderer who is in an open prison and has been let out for the weekend.
Yet from the statement issued by the police it appears that he is not low risk and it beggers the question as to what is happening with the justice system.
Remove sky tv, access to the fully equipped gym, the shop and the 6 differnt meal choices then perhaps people will be less inclined to commit crime. These people free access to these facilities, I work for a living but cannot afford this.

We are talking about a convicted murderer/killer, this Killer should not be let loose on innocent civilians, even after 11 years, in the US he would have been subject to life without parole, although preferrably the Death Penalty would be more suitable if relevant, as he would never ever be convicted of murdering again.

Only if there is conclusive evidence the death sentence should be given, and it should be done straight away, no messing around with last wishes etc, save the tax payer even more money.
Simple fact, if you don't want to do the time, don't do the crime.....

I'll sleep soundly tonight knowing the person coming through my bedroom window is more interested in stabbing me than giving me an unwanted rogering
