South Sebastopol housing appeal to start today
10:40am Tuesday 15th January 2013 in News
THE appeal from the consortium of developers who had plans to build 1,200 homes on a greenfield site in Torfaen rejected will start today. The planning inquiry starts at 10am and will be held at the Pontypool Active Living Centre.
It will last until at least the end of the week, and will hear the appeal from developers including Asbri Planning, Barratt Homes and the Welsh Development Agency, who submitted proposals to develop at South Sebastopol. Torfaen council will not be contesting the appeal but Torfaen Friends of the Earth will be giving evidence on Friday against the plans.

There is something fishy about this saga. Why continue with it when new houses have been built on the old Panteg steelworks site. A site not even available when South Sebastopol was first talked about decades ago. Pockets and lining come to mind.

Are 100% certain that that affordable homes are not being built?
