NEWPORT council’s information station has welcomed 60,000 people since it opened in January 2012, the city council said.
Located in the old Newport railway station building, the site was created by the city council and other agencies to provide an accessible, welcoming environment which gives people the opportunity to cover a range of queries and issues.
Among the groups to offer services at the centre are the Aneurin Bevan Health Board, the Citizens’ Advice Bureau, Job Centre Plus, Newport Credit Union and the Department for Work and Pensions.
