2:40pm Friday 1st February 2013 in News
THREE men appeared in court yesterday charged in connection with an alleged armed incident in Newport.
Ian Beckford, 32, of Hollybush Grove, Everton Graham, 30, of Mount Pleasant Avenue, and Adrian Thomas, of Garden Close, 31, all in Birmingham, are charged with aggravated burglary.
It is alleged the three men forced their way into a home in Ashton Crescent, Brynglas, around 8pm on January 28 looking for a particular strength of cannabis called “cush”.
It is alleged one of them carried a knife and threatened the couple who lived there.
Caerphilly Magistrates’ Court heard the men were arrested in West Mercia.
District Judge Richard Williams remanded the three in custody until they are to appear at Newport Crown Court on February 7.
