Remember this when they move the main Critical Care cnetre to Llanfrechfa Grange. Traffic from and towards Newport was affected. The residents of Newport would have been blocked off to the new Critical Care Centre.

iT WAS A POLICE bmw jeep that had smashed into the central reservation, no doubt it was speeding and lost control.

Due to this, they closed a mile or so of malpas road so they could take pictures of it?

there were around 10 officers deployed to this...I hope the driver was tested for drink.....

"...no doubt it was speeding and lost control."

What do you base this on?

There is always room for doubt but rhinestone is perhaps persuaded toward his conclusion by the fact that last year alone police admitted causing nearly 3,357 crashes. Note that this is not the total number of crashes police were involved in, but merely those where they actually got around to admitting liability. Among recorded causes were police drivers failing to stop at junctions, carrying out U turns without looking, failing to use mirrors and taking bends too quickly.
