Abergavenny man dies in devastating Newport crash
PART of the A449 stayed shut for most of yesterday after a driver died in a devastating crash.

GWENT Police confirmed the driver of the car involved in this morning's accident was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers were called at 8.35am after the crash which involved a single car - a grey Peugeot 407.
The A449 remains closed southbound between Raglan and the Coldra at Newport.
Emergency services remain at the scene and drivers are advised to avoid the area.
Police ask anyone who saw the crash to call 01633 642404.
