GWENT Police have appealed for information following a burglary on Colts Foot Close in Newport yesterday.

Two men knocked on the front door of the victims' address between 11.45am-12.15pm and are described as having an accent, possibly Irish.

They asked him if they could take a metal shelving unit which was left in the communal area of a block of flats. Its believed the two men then searched the flat and stole a 32 inch Samsung TV, white Apple iPad and some cash.

It is believed that they were travelling in a white Transit style van.

The men are described as:

Male one – white, aged 30-32, 6ft tall, wide shouldered but not fat, mousey brown hair, unshaven, wearing jeans and a "worn" top.

Male two – white, early to mid thirties, 5’7’’ tall, medium build but not as broad as male one, fair hair and ripped jeans with paint on them.
