A MAN was threatened with a what was reported to be a gun in Brynmawr yesterday, Gwent Police say.

Police were called to the Bryn Farm Estate in Brynmawr at around 3.50pm after reports three men had threatened another man with a gun.

The 18-year-old victim reported they had an object which resembled a small handgun in the car with them.

Firearms officers were sent to find the car and the men and at around 5.15pm three men were arrested in the Ebbw Vale area, on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

All three, a 40-year-old from Ebbw Vale, a 30-year-old from Ebbw Vale and a 48 year old from Abertillery, remain in police custody.
