A £70,000 rally car was stolen from Chepstow Racecourse at the weekend, police have revealed.

Detectives are appealing for information to trace the red Citroen C2, registration number BL05 CGF. C2 cars have previously been used to compete in World Rally Championships. The class R2 motorsport car was taken from the racecourse overnight on Friday, February 8, and was reported stolen the following morning.

Anyone with information regarding the theft is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
