Newport library consultation set to close

CONSULTATION on the opening hours of libraries in Newport will close on February 22.
The council wants residents to have their say on their preferred opening times for the following libraries: St Julian’s community learning centre, Brynglas House, Bettws library and information centre, Carnegie library and information centre, Caerleon library and information centre, Malpas library and information centre, Pillgwenlly library and learning centre, Ringland library and information centre and Rogerstone library and information centre.
There are no plans to change Newport central library’s opening times.
Themove comes as the council tries to cut spending as part of overall budget cuts. Details of the full proposals at www.newport.
