If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be and why?
Samuel Adler, composer. It would be brilliant to discuss music with somebody to his level.
What is your biggest fear?
Spiders, definitely.
Do you have any superstitions?
No, I’m not one for superstitions.
If you could have only one song on your iPod, what would it be and why?
Daphnis et Chloé, Deuxieme Suite: Lever du jour – M. Ravel. I absolutely love Ravel’s music!
What’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought, not including property?
£150 worth of sheet music in Crane’s Music, Cardiff.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

What item could you not live without?
My piano.
What’s your indulgence?
Chocolate
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why?
I would like to not have glasses, having three pairs is rather annoying!
Where are you next going on holiday?
Hopefully the north of France.
