Newport Gwent Dragon lands Take Me Out island date

 NEWPORT Gwent Dragon rugby player Tom Brown scored a belter after successfully bagging himself a date on hit TV dating show Take Me Out.

The 29-year-old flanker had his pick of 20 of the 30 contestants on the showaired on Saturday night after some girls admitted to being put off by the fact he shaved his legs for rugby.

In the end it was Brynmawr beauty Naomi Boyd who found herself whisked off to the Isle of Fernando with the back row hunk.

Alas it was not meant to be because although the pair got on well, Brown admitted there was no spark between them.

But he was probably just relieved to get a date after previously telling the Argus he was terrified at being faced with the dreaded blackout – a signal that none of the girls wanted to date him.
