If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be and why?

Stephen William Hawking, CH, CBE, FRS, FRSA, one of the most brilliant theoretical physicists since Einstein. What an honour to be able to speak to such a brilliant man, and someone who against all odds fought his disability and carried on. What an inspiration!

What is your biggest fear?

Wasps.

Do you have any superstitions?

Always salute a magpie.

If you could have only one song on your iPod, what would it be and why?

Squeeze – Pulling Mussels from a Shell, brings back childhood memories of real happy times.

What’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought, not including property?

My first car, a white Astra.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

This isn’t a dress rehearsal, you’re only here once.

What’s your indulgence?

Chinese food.

What item could you not live without?

Mobile phone.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why?

Be more patient, as I want things done yesterday and not have to wait.

Where are you next going on holiday?

Tenby for a long weekend.
