ABERGAVENNY Civic Society will consider what makes the town a special place and different from other towns in Wales and the UK.

The group will meet on Monday to explore Abergavenny’s unique assets and hear about the challenges and opportunities from guest speakers on cycling, walking and food tourism.

To join the debate visit St Michael’s Centre in Pen-y-Pound at 7.30pm on March 11.

Non-members welcome, admission is £2.

Abergavenny is what Monmouth used to be. A pleasure to wander round the many small shops which still form a significant part of the town. Sadly, one excellent store, Richards, has now closed, leaving quite a vacuum
