Leigh Hale, from Newbridge, is running the London Marathon for Tourette's Syndrome charities
A MAN who has Tourette's Syndrome will take on the Brighton marathon to thank a charity which has supported him.
Leigh Hale, 45, of Newbridge, will take on the 26.2mile challenge on April 14 in aid of Tourettes Action and the Tourettes Action South Wales family support group.
Mr Hale visits the support group based in Cardiff around once a month.
Mr Hale, who was not diagnosed with the condition until the age of 28, said: "I just want to thank the charity and group as they have been very supportive in giving me advice, information and moral support."
This will be the fifth marathon Mr Hale has run.
Mr Hale also thanked his family, friends and workplaces for their support as well as to HSBC Blackwood group which donated sponsors.
