THIS picture was sent in by an Argus reader who spotted this driver going the wrong way on the SDR. In a comment sent to our website the reader says the driver came out of Langland Way, next to Carcraft, onto the SDR but should have turned left because there is no right turn.

“This could have caused a nasty accident if the other drivers weren’t so alert, if they don’t know the roads or Highway Code, stay off the roads.”

I was on the M4 Sunday evening around the Bath area and the Matrix sign flashed up a message warning us to slow to 20mph as there was an oncoming vehicle!!! Not a sign that you really want to see !!!

oh i see this all the time in pump street they drive up to north street and it is clearly signed its a one way system how there is never a crash is beyond me as cars drive FAST down north street around in to pump street people should be be allowed to drive if they have no patience !! its the same with caerua road they turn and its a one way street !!!

I have to say I am confused by this photo. I am assuming this is a roundabout. The two dark vehicles would appear to be going in the wrong direction. The yellow temporary traffic signs are correctly positioned for the direction the ford driver is heading, including the brown traffic sign. The bollard shows a keep left arrow which suggests its an exit off the roundabout in the foreground. Perhaps someone could enlighten me please !!!!

This is outside carcraft I have witnessed a driver do what I suspect this person who obviously is not paying attention to the road or following sat nav to the law and taken a right turn at the corper road lights from the stephenson street end and forgot that you should not drive towards oncoming traffic at lease it is day light the dimwit I saw did it when it was dark I know there are lots of issues with the SDR but this is just bad driving and should be punished next time someone could get hurt....

all the yellow and brown signs are on the other carriageway, note the crash barrier between the lanes, there is a sign on the island directed at the dark cars, the keep left arrow is the lane the photographer is in and this lane will join the traffic in the direction of the dark cars, the white car is going the wrong way.

there is no roundabout when you come out from the side of carcraft you can only turn left and then you go under the bridge to the lights going up on to the new bridge with morrisons on your right

the 2 dark cars came from spitty end heading for the new bridge they are going the right way its the silver car that is going the wrong way
