Police appeal after burglar leaves Prescoed prison

A MAN convicted for burglary has absconded from a prison near Usk.

Police have appealed for information to locate Shaun Lloyd, 25, who absconded from HMP Prescoed last Friday.

He was serving a prison sentence after being convicted of burglary.

Police described the man as white, 5ft 10ins tall, of stocky build, with shaven brown hair and blue eyes.

It is believed he could be in the Cardiff area where he has contacts.

He is not a registered sex offender.

Members of the public are advised not to approach him but to call police if they have any information regarding his whereabouts on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

hello Police, please do the job you are very well paid for and find this miscreant rather than sat in your bullet proof gear on a motorway verge waiting for someone to go 3mph over the limit who you will probably miss anyway due to being fast asleep
