Supermarkets team up with Caerphilly food banks

TO support local food banks a team from Caerphilly county borough have formed a partnerships with local supermarkets.

Five food banks now operate across the borough in Blackwood, Risca, New Tredegar and Caerphilly.

The banks are run by volunteer groups and survive through donations.The links with local supermarkets provide the Food Banks with opportunity to hold monthly food collections which greatly replenish their depleted stocks.

Suppose they have to help those they pay minimum wage, or pay no wage at all to through workfare, somehow.
