Brynglas Tunnels death crash driver named
A DRIVER who died in a collision near Newport's Brynglas Tunnels last week has been named as David Archer from Cardiff.
The 67-year-old was driving a dark grey Peugeot 308 saloon when it crashed into a wall and an electrical sub-station on the M4 eastbound at the tunnel entrance around 3am last Friday.
CCTV footage show a number of drivers stopped at the side of the vehicle immediately after the collision.
Gwent Police want to speak to these motorists, who include heavy goods vehicle drivers, and one man who got out of the passenger side of a passing vehicle and walked over to have a look inside.
The road was closed for several hours while the wreckage was removed causing miles of tailbacks.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact the force on 01633 642404.

They may not have committed any actual offences, but it would be good to see them at least hauled into the coroners court and named and shamed.
