'I’m glad I was caught, I’ve a problem' says Torfaen teen sex pest

A TEENAGE boy told officers he was relieved when they caught him exposing himself, saying he realised he had a problem, a court heard.
The 16-year-old from Torfaen appeared at Cwmbran Youth Court yesterday, where he admitted four counts of exposure.
These offences all happened between December last year and January this year, with the youngster intentionally exposing himself, intending that someone would see them and be caused alarm or distress.
Prosecutor Lisa James said the issue had been a cause of great embarrassment for the youngster since his arrest.
District Judge Richard Williams said: “You told officers on your arrest that you had a problem and it was a relief that you were caught, so it could be brought to a stop.
We want to try to stop it happening again.”
The district judge gave a ten-month referral order to the teenager, who had never been in trouble before.
This will incude counselling and therapy.
