A MAN has appeared in court charged in connection with a double-death crash.

Luke Jones, 24, of Dan y Coed, Clydach, spoke only to confirm his name and address at the short Cwmbran Magistrates Court hearing yesterday.

He is charged with causing the deaths of Phillip Bath, 29, of Nantyglo, and Glyndwr John Evans, 49, from Glynneath, by dangerous driving, in relation to a crash on the A465 Heads of the Valleys road on October 27 last year.

No indication of plea was given to the bench chaired by Val Willie and the case was sent to crown court.

Jones was bailed to appear in Newport Crown Court on March 28.
