A MAN was cut out of a van this morning after a crash on the A40 in Monmouthshire at around 1.30am.
The fire service reported that a van heading southbound in the Monmouth Tunnel collided with the rear of a stationary heavy goods vehicle.
A man was released from the van by fire crews, and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Crews from Maindee and Malpas in Newport and Monmouth attended.
