UPDATE: Traffic is now moving again following the chaos caused by a crash in the Brynglas tunnel this morning.
There is slow traffic on the M4 Eastbound between J27 B4591 (Highcross) and J26 A4051 (Malpas Road). This is congestion from the earlier accident in the eastbound Brynglas Tunnel.
A CRASH on the M4 in the Brynglas Tunnels caused traffic chaos this morning.
The crash involving two vans and a car at 6.30am on the eastbound carriageway is reported to have caused ten-mile tailbacks to Cardiff. The eastbound carriageway was closed for a number of hours but has now re-opemned.
Three people were taken to Newport's Royal Gwent Hospital, said the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
The driver of Blue Nexus car has been reported for driving without due car and attention, said Gwent Police.
The crash has also caused tailbacks on the A48 which feeds onto the M4.
