NEWPORT County AFC have revealed that the capacity for Sunday's home play-offs semi-final second leg against Grimsby Town at Rodney Parade will be more than 7,000.

The extra capacity is a result of the seats in the Hazell Stand being opened for the crucial clash (kick-off 4.30pm).

A statement on the club website reads: "County have installed two new turnstiles at gate two in Rodney Road which will enable them to open the stand with a reduced capacity of 1,320 tickets.

"These tickets will be available with immediate effect from the ticket office in the Bisley Stand, over the phone and on line. The timing is excellent news for County and their fans, as there are less than 100 tickets remaining in the Bisley Stand.

"This brings the total capacity at Rodney Parade on Sunday to 7,012 including the 500 newly installed seats at the Sytner End of the stadium which are included in the segregated area for visiting fans taking their allocation to 1,063. Grimsby Town expect to completely sell their allocation.

"Sales of tickets for Newport County AFC have now passed the 3,000 mark with just under a week to go. Tickets for the Hazell Terrace are nearly sold out with less than 200 remaining, which will leave the North Terrace as the only terracing available. County fans are urged to buy tickets now to avoid disappointment."
