NEWPORT Women’s forum is once again inviting applications for grant funding.

The Newport Women’s Forum Awards are all about supporting women and giving them the confidence to achieve a goal.

The awards are open to women aged 18 and over who live in Newport.

They are invited to apply for a grant of up to £1,000.

Applications can be from individuals or groups of women.

Grants are given to help women in their personal development, which can mean different things to different people and in the past the grants have been awarded to artists needing help with funding to stage exhibitions, people wanting to turn a hobby into a career and students needing help with course fees.

All applications will be considered and must demonstrate that the money would make a significant difference to an aspect of life.

Funding could be given to help you change your situation or achieve a goal, for example, for training, purchase of tools and equipment, but is certainly not limited to these examples.

Newport Women’s Forum Independent Adjudicating Panel will consider the applications and make a decision on who will receive a grant.

Application forms are available from a number of places in Newport, including the front desk of the South Wales Argus, libraries, the leisure centre, community centres and community education centres.

Alternatively, use the contact details below to request an application form or for more information.

All application forms must be completed and returned by May 15, 2013.
