UPDATE: 10.55am

A GROUP of people continue to search for missing father of four, Dr David Hampton, since his disappearance on Thursday evening.

Dr Hampton’s partner, Miss Webb, said: β€œWe won’t stop, we will keep going.”

A group of people have been out walking along the riverfront of the River Usk, Newport, since 9am this morning, determined to find Dr Hampton, who went missing in the late hours of May 23.

β€œThere are about six of us out looking for him,” Miss Webb said.

β€œThe boys from the Pathology lab were out last night .”

The group have taken its search to the riverfront because Miss Webb explained her partner would have walked along this particular route on his way home.

Miss Webb’s friend Alison Harrison has had posters made which have been circulated in the Maindee and Pill area.

β€œIt is one big effort from everyone, it is amazing,” Miss Webb said.

Police have confirmed its enquiry continues.

If anyone has any information which would help officers locate Dr Hampton, they should call 101.

UPDATE: 10.55am THE family of a missing man are urging people to contact them if they hear anything.

Miss Webb, who described her partner Dr Hampton as wearing a navy blue jumper and grey trousers when she last saw him, said the family just want him to "come home."

"We have been waiting since we went to the police at midnight, we have exhausted everything we can think of," she said.

The father of four had attended a concert at Trinity College in Carmarthen last night before he went missing, in which his son Daniel, 20, was performing.

Miss Webb said they had left after the first half because Dr Hampton was feeling unwell and had not eaten properly in three days.

"He hasn't been feeling very well, he had a temperature, he was tired and felt confused," she said.

Miss Webb, whose mother and father have come to her home to give support, is thankful for the help the local community has so far given her.

"We have had lots of support on Facebook and Twitter, they are lovely," she said.

"Everyone in the hospital, all his colleagues and friends are looking for him and have friends of friends looking for him, keeping an eye out.

"He is very popular."

The family are appealing for anyone who has heard anything to contact Miss Webb on: 0755 100 6938 UPDATE: 10.20am A NEWPORT man has gone missing after leaving his house for some "fresh air" last night.

Dave Hampton, 64, of Pill, was last seen by his partner of 15 years Sara Webb, 40, at about 11pm yesterday after telling her he needed some "fresh air."

"He wasn't feeling very well," said Miss Webb.

"He said he was going to see if Asda was open and he didn't come back.

"I went to Asda not long after him to see if he was there and there was no sign of him."

Miss Webb was informed Mr Hampton, who works as a bio-chemist in the Pathology Lab at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, was captured on CCTV footage at about 11.30pm last night buying a bag of chips and then going into a pub or club for a pint.

"This is out of character for him, especially missing work today," Miss Webb said.

Miss Webb said her partner's phone is on, but it keeps ringing without an answer.

"His daughter Lucy Hampton, 26, came over and we went out looking for him.

"Lucy's mother, Katheryne Hampton, came and helped as well.

"We have been up all night."

Friends and neighbours have been helping with the search, dog walkers have been looking out for him this morning and the family have gone to his place of work to search for him but he is yet to be found.

"We have been driving the streets," Miss Webb said.

"We don't know what's happened to him."

The family have put a photo on social networking sites Facebook and Twitter, urging people to share and retweet the information.

They ask if anyone has any information to call Gwent Police on 101.
