POLICE are investigating the theft of a tractor and plough from a farm in Llanvihangel-Ystern-Llewern, Monmouth.

The tractor and plough belonged to Haydn Williams, 70, from Goytre who was in the area doing works on a field for a family friend.

Mr Williams uses the equipment for his day job as a contractor in the building and agricultural industries.

But without the machinery he can’t continue his work.

The theft occurred some time between 2pm and 2.20pm on May 31.

Mr Williams is keen to get them back, describing the machinery as his "pride and joy" having kept them in a good state of repair since purchasing them five years ago.

The green tractor is an F registration plate and the reversible plough is the Lemken brand.
