COLEG Gwent fashion designers, artists, photographers and film directors wowed crowds when they showed their skills at an end-of-year art and design event.

The show which ran from Tuesday June 18 to Thursday June 20, saw students showcase their talents in Art & Design, Creative Media Production, Fashion, Fine Art, Graphics, Interactive Media and Photography at the Crosskeys Campus.

The work featured in a collective display that included final pieces of work as well as development sketchbooks showing the creative process.

Art & Design student Emily Hicks was inspired by the event itself for her final project.

The 19 year-old student from Blackwood designed promotional posters and graphics for the show.

She said: "Although it's my final project, it's my first exhibition so I'm excited to see it all come together.

"The course has really developed my interest in graphic design, so it's great to get the opportunity to show how I've developed and what I've learnt."

Fashion students from BTEC Extended Diploma and Foundation Degree courses also featured in a catwalk event based around themes of new expression and transformation, inspired by fine art.

Media students showed a film of their project, a magazine-style television programme featuring interviews with staff and students.

The show, called 'Style', was created, directed and produced by the group.
