Other acts included former Scorpions and UFO guitar hero, Michael Schenker, FM, Anvil, Magnum, Snakecharmer, The Temperance Movement and Fireroad.

Campers took to the site at 5pm on July 26 to see the two fantastic days of rock music.

Event organiser Matt Rhead, said: "It has been absolutely amazing.

"Over 7,000 people have turned out for the festival this year and the arena and the bar was full.

"The festival has been incredible-people have come from the north of England and from overseas, places such as Canada and Finland, just to see the band Saxon perform using an amazing chrome eagle as part of their 'Eagle Has Landed' set.

"This is the first time that they have used the Eagle on a UK stage in over 20 years so it is a great honour.

"People have said that the Steelhouse festival is better than some of the bigger festivals as the atmosphere is so family friendly and the location is great.

"This years festival has been incredible and we are already discussing the headline acts for next year."
