Duffryn residents asked thoughts on new heating system

DUFFRYN residents will be asked for their thoughts on a new central heating system installed in 2011.
The housing association, Newport City Homes (NCH) has commissioned the research about the impact of the changes. They want to know if residents have seen benefits from the new system, which lets individuals better control their own power use.
There will be two events for local people to give their views, on August 17 from 11am until 4pm at Sandpiper Park and on August 28 between 11am and 3pm at Duffryn High School.
For the first 50 system users to turn up at each event, there will be a free “energy saving” gift.
The Energy Saving Trust, conducting the research, will also phone people to find their views.
Andrew Lloyd, Energy and Compliance Manager at NCH said: “It is really important that we collect the views of those using the system to ensure it is meeting their needs, both in terms of energy efficiency and budget requirements. This will give us the opportunity to identify any improvements required to the system and additional advice or training that we can provide to users to make their system more efficient.”
