TV CHEF Rick Stein is coming to Chepstow this month to give a talk.
The star of several cookery series and five one-off documentaries is heading to the St Pierre hotel on September 20 at 1pm.
He will be interesting the audience with his newly released autobiography Under a Mackerel Sky at the event organised by Chepstow Bookshop.
Mr Stein owns and runs four restaurants in the small Cornish fishing village of Padstow with his ex-wife Jill.
In addition to his television work, which has included the likes of Rick Stein's Food Heroes, Rick Stein's Spain and Memoirs of a Seafood Chef, he has written 16 cookery books and has a passion for fresh seafood.
He has cooked for many famous people including the Queen, Prince Philip and Tony Blair.
Owner of Chepstow Bookshop Matt Taylor, who has attracted some big names to the town over the past eight years, said 150 tickets have been sold but the venue has capacity for double that number.
"It's the first time we have had an event at St Pierre. It's great Rick is coming to Monmouthshire, the food capital of Wales. We are really looking forward to it," he added.
Tickets are available from the bookshop priced at £4.
Mr Stein will also be speaking later on in the evening at Abergavenny's Borough Theatre on the eve of the Abergavenny Food Festival.
He will be in conversation with food writer Zanthe Clay at the theatre at 7.30pm.
The festival takes place between September 21 and 22.
