If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be and why?
Hate lifts they make me dizzy, so I’d rather not get stuck in there. But I would love to pick the brains of Michael Jordan, one of the greats of basketball, and find out how he went from not getting picked for his college team to the NBA’s all-time great.
What is your biggest fear?
Biggest fear is probably not being successful so that drives me to keep working hard... And snakes obviously!
Do you have any superstitions?
I’m generally not too superstitious but always try to follow the same routines to take confidence from the fact you are well prepared. Winning can become a habit so good preparation gives you that confidence to keep winning
If you could have one song on your iPod, what would it be and why?
Something that gets the hairs on the back of your neck standing up and motivates you.
I’m a proud Welshman and love the Stereophonics but probably have to go for Calvin Harris.
What is the most expensive thing you’ve bought not including your property?
I’m not too flash when it comes to things, but probably have to say a Hugo Boss watch.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
I’ve been lucky enough to have great people around me and had access to great people working in the game that have influenced me.
But if I was to pick one thing I’d have to think of what my father has always instilled in me and that is to work hard and do my best.
What’s your indulgence?
I find it very hard to say no to chocolate.
What item could you not live without?
I suppose a phone is pretty important to people these days. But I’m not a huge fan of walking anywhere, which is a bit lazy I know but I get bored and I’m too impatient so I’ll say my car.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why?
Try not to have any regrets and I’m far from perfect so maybe my tendency to be late for things on occasion.
I had to make a dash for it at Barcelona airport last year to make a flight!
Where are you next going on holiday?
Just got back from a holiday in the USA and I really like seeing America so hopefully California’s next up.
