Car collided with bus and overturned on M4 at High Cross in Newport

Newport Bus confirmed the overturned car collided with a bus this afternoon.
A South Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said three people were assessed at the scene by paramedics as a precautionary measure.
Operations manager at Newport Bus, Morgan Stephens confirmed that a Newport X30 bus had been involved in a road traffic collision on the M4 with another vehicle and said full investigations were being carried out including watching CCTV.
He said they were unaware of any injuries caused.
One lane of the motorway was closed following the incident and the entry slip road was partially blocked causing congestion back to junction 30. Police were directing traffic during this time.
The lane was then reopened at 4.20pm.
Gwent Police are investigating the cause of the crash and ask anyone who may have witnessed the collision to ring 101 quoting log 302 11/10/13.

The crash happened on the eastbound side at J27 with the B4591 at High Cross in Newport. Police are directing traffic.
