A COIN trail laid across Caldicot raised funds for St David's Foundation Hospice Care.
Shoppers, charity volunteers and school children helped lay the coins between the St David's Foundation Hospice Care charity shop and the Waitrose supermarket, Newport Road.
Staff from the supermarket were among those helping with the trail as were children from Castle Park Primary School.
Manager at the St David's shop, Charmaine Fuller said the trail measured around 500 yards.
She said: "We have had wonderful support especially with the weather.
"A lot of people in Caldicot know about the great work St David's do."
The money has been taken back to St David's Foundation Hospice Care where it is being counted.
