APPLES almost good enough to eat will promote the county at Flavours of Herefordshire events, thanks to the genius of local people and a talented potter.
Jon Williams,of Eastnor Pottery, will soon be handing over glazed pottery apples to the authority's arts department, as promotional objects, but he had help in producing special objects to celebrate the region's apple culture.
He said: "Hundreds of people helped me to create the glazed fruits at the Herefordshire Celebration event in Hereford, last month."
Unlike real apples, these fruits are likely to stand the test of time and become familiar sight at events far and wide, during the years to come.
