Risk review on Gwent police 'copter after Glasgow tragedy

RISK assessments have been carried out on Gwent police’s shared helicopter following the police crash in Glasgow.
At least nine people were killed following the incident on Friday when a police helicopter crashed into The Clutha pub.
A Gwent police spokeswoman said Gwent and South Wales Police as well as South East Wales Air Support Unit and helicopter provider Bond had since met to carry out risk assessments and review all the procedures and maintenance checks in relation to their shared helicopter.
The spokeswoman said: “We have also liaised with Police Scotland and the Air Accident Investigation Bureau and we are awaiting information. In the meantime our Air Support Unit continues to operate as usual.”
