EBBW VALE’S Nathan Wyburn who appeared on Britain’s Got Talent has created a giant artwork of David Suchet out of human hair.

Inspired by Movember which sees men across the country to grow a moustache or Mo to raise awareness of men’s health, communications company, Three, set out to find the UK’s favourite celebrity Mo. Out of the 1,180 people surveyed from across the UK, it can be revealed that David Suchet, famous for his moustache as Belgian sleuth Poirot, received the most votes, to be crowned Britain’s mightiest Mo. To mark this, Three has created an artwork of his moustache, using human hair.

Artist Nathan Wyburn, from Ebbw Vale, and Britain’s Got Talent runner-up, who is famous for his multi-medium creations, was drafted in to produce the giant artwork. Standing at 119cm by 84cm, the creation is made out of hair donated by local salons, while Mr Wyburn used his own hair for the bow tie.

Hywel Mills from Movember said: “It’s great to see the nation backing David’s Mo and his efforts to spread the word about men’s health issues.

“There’s still time to donate, so if you want to support any of the UK’s celebrity Mo growers or a Mo Bro in your life visit Movember.com ”

The poll was conducted via Twitter, and David Suchet got 39 per cent of the vote. Comedian, Adam Hills and radio presenter Colin Murray, secured 30 per cent and 19 per cent of the vote respectively.

The director of marketing at Three, Tom Malleschitz, said: “We partnered with Movember to show how silly stuff matters because it gets people talking, and our Mo art is a great demonstration of this. Whether you’re channelling a famous Mo like David Suchet or honing your own style, we want people to share their Movember efforts via mobile and help to raise awareness and money for a great cause.”
