South Wales Argus: Man released after incident on Chartist Bridge, Blackwood Man released after incident on Chartist Bridge, Blackwood

THE man being held by police after an incident on Chartist Bridge in Blackwood late last night has been released.

The 55-year-old man was brought to safety from the bridge and then arrested under Section 136 of the Mental Health Act.

Gwent Police say referrals have been made to partner agencies for further support.

i know you said you have put in referrals to help him, but just letting him go is ridiculous, you could have sectioned him temporarily so he will be safe.

if this guy was serious about killing himself, i am guessing the next report will be something like ''blackwood man ended life earlier today after being released on by for attempted suicide''

i swear people dont think things threw :/
