IN WHAT is a particularly cruel twist, missing man Kyle Vaughan's mum Mary has been diagnosed with liver cancer.

The diagnosis, which comes two years after Mrs Vaughan fought throat cancer, has brought an added urgency, if any were needed, to the family's search to find their son.

Mr Vaughan has himself needed hospital treatment for a condition the couple believes has been brought on by the stress of not knowing what has happened to 24-year-old Kyle Vaughan.

Now the couple say it is more important than ever that Kyle is found.

And we are happy to reiterate what we have long argued.

If anyone has any information at all, however insignificant it may seem, please contact the police.

The smallest piece of information can sometimes be the key which unlocks a police investigation.

And if people feel they need to remain anonymous then there are ways that can happen.

The whole family has put their life on hold since Kyle went missing almost a year ago.

And sadly his parent's health problems are adding yet further strain to their already stressful lives.

We can fully comprehend their belief that the lack of knowing what has happened to him is contributing to their ill-health.

At the very least they deserve to know the truth about what happened to Kyle on December 30 last year.
