THE Fear and Rolling Skate Park in Newport has reopened after renovating its facilities and doubling in size.

It includes a new jump box and new adjustable height rail.

In the New Year the park’s owners are still hoping to install a new spine ramp and a volcano.

The park already boasts a halfpipe, wave ramps, a jump box, a pyramid and a driveway with grind boxes and rails.

The skate park has the largest foam pit in Wales and accommodates several genres of skating. Inline skaters and users of BMXs, skateboards and scooters can are all welcome.

It has 10,000 square feet of ramp ramps and rails and is big enough to accommodate 50 people at one time.

Fear and Rolling is the city’s only privately owned skate park.

Tom Bowman, who owns the park which is based on the Leeway Industrial Estate, said he had spent several thousands of pounds on the renovation.

He said: “We have doubled the size of it since it first opened and we are still planning further improvements.”

In September it hosted an all night skate event which ran from 9pm until the following morning at 9am.
