ONE in five people in Wales will think of stopping drinking for good following the alcohol-fuelled festive season, a survey reveals.

The Cancer Research UK poll also shows revellers are still red-faced from last year’s drunken antics.

Flirting with colleagues and spilling secrets are just a few of the “morning after” regrets found by the charity.

Four in 10 in Wales plan to cut down on alcohol this Christmas after regretting their drunken behaviour from last year’s parties.

The findings emerged as the charity prepared to launch its annual Dryathlon fundraiser encouraging people to stop drinking alcohol in January 2014 to raise funds for cancer research.
