UNWANTED gifts can be sold off at a charity fundraising event called Auction Off Your Christmas Clutter.
Anna Roberts from Get Sorted, Abergavenny, is asking people to bring unwanted Christmas presents to the King's Arms, in Nevill Street, Abergavenny, on January 14 at 5.30pm where she will play auctioneer to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.
You can sell, buy – or both – and all proceeds from the sale will go to the charity. During the course of the evening Ms Roberts will also share top tips on dealing with unwanted items in your home.
She will show you how you can shake off the guilt of getting rid of gifts you don't want, buy presents that are less likely to lead to more clutter and implement a three point plan for an effective de-cluttering session.
"People can be left overwhelmed by the influx of yet more stuff into their homes at Christmas," she said. "Auctioning them off to raise money for a good cause in the knowledge whoever bids for it wants it more than they do should relieve them of any guilt they might feel."
Auction Off Your Christmas Clutter is at The King's Arms, 29 Nevill St, Abergavenny, on January 14 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
Tickets are £5, including a glass of wine or soft drink. Profits go to the charity. To buy, see can be bought from the Get Sorted website home page at www.getsorted-uk.com
