UPDATE 11.08am
THE A449 near Newport is running slow after a car crashed through the central reservation this morning.
A blue Peugeot 308 was travelling northbound when it crashed through the barrier at approximately 9.55am this morning.
There were no other cars involved and there are no injuries to the driver of the car, which has now been recovered.
Debris is currently being cleared off both sides of the carriageway but cameras show traffic is coping well.
UPDATE 10.20am
A CAR crashed through the central reservation on the A449 this morning north of Newport.
The accident, involving a single vehicle, happened on the northbound stretch of the road between the Coldra and the Usk interchange, about two miles from the Newport junction at the Coldra.
Drivers are advised to approach with care.
