PUPILS at Magor Church in Wales Primary wore festive-themed costumes on the last day of term to celebrate Christmas.

The whole school dressed as elves, Father Christmas and even reindeer to gather around the school Christmas tree.

The school’s acting deputy head, Laura Welsh, said the children put a lot of effort into costumes.

It marked the end of a busy term for the school which culminated in several nativity plays, a church service, a performance at the Frost Fair in Magor Square and Christingle services for which the Year 6 pupils helped the nursery and reception years make Christingles.

Ms Welsh said that the children all looked lovely and thoroughly enjoyed their final day of Christmas festivities with games and an assembly.
