POLICE continued the search for missing Newport teenager Nida Naseer today by combing wasteground in the city.
Officers were searching around Corporation Road, the former Lysaghts Institute and around the Transporter Bridge.
Police officers are trawling through hundreds of hours of CCTV footage from across Pill and into the city centre, after the search area was widened.
Superintendent Mark Warrender said the search areas were defined by specialist search experts.
He said: "This is a complete mystery,", adding: "Nida is a very shy individual. As time goes on we become more and more worried. There has been no other information since December 28 and no confirmed sightings."
Extensive physical searches of the nearby area, house-to-house enquiries and speaking at length to Miss Naseer's family and friends has so far provided no new information.
