POLICE took the search for missing Coleg Gwent student Nida Naseer to the area near the Newport City Campus where she studied.
Nida Naseer, 18, has not been seen since she left her house on Linton Street, Pill, on December 28, 2013 to take the rubbish out.
Gwent Police this morning searched along Nash Road between the roundabout and Meadows Road near the campus.
Their search continued to Maindee this afternoon where officers were searching off Corporation Road and along residential streets including Gaskell Street and Willenhall Street.
Nida is described as having an Asian-Pakistani appearance with long dark hair and is slim and 5ft 3in tall. She was last known to be wearing blue jeans and a black top.
Police previously said the teenager is in need of medication without which she is likely to become anaemic. The teen is described as a quiet and very shy girl who is addicted to her mobile phone and afraid of the dark.
Police are urging anyone who can assist them with their inquiries to call 101 and quote log number 448 28/12/13.
