Traffic on the SDR has returned to normal.
The M4 has now re-opened. Traffic on the SDR is still very heavy and drivers can expect long delays.

GWENT Police are helping with the recovery is underway of the lorry involved in the crash, which was said by a police spokeswoman to have suffered “severe damage”.
She said a “full lift” of the vehicle may be required to remove it from the tunnel.
One lane is thought to remain closed.
She confirmed nobody was injured in the accident.
Chris Prior from Usk sent in this picture of the lorry involved in this morning's crash, saying a friend was driving the lorry that collided with the tanker and that the driver is fine.

The crash on the M4 between J25 at Caerleon and J24 the Coldra has been cleared and the road is now open.
Cardiff Road in Newport is very congested this morning as traffic is diverted from the M4 due to the crash in the Brynglas tunnel.

Traffic heavier than normal and stop-start traffic on the SDR this morning as traffic is diverted off of the M4 due to the accident in the westbound Brynglas Tunnel.
One lane is closed and very slow traffic reported due to an accident, involving three vehicles on M4 St Julian's Hill Eastbound between J25 at Caerleon and J24 the Coldra.
A diversion is in place for M4 traffic: Leave the M4 at J24 to use the A48 Southern Distributor Road.
Alternatively, traffic can also leave the M4 at J23A (Magor Services) and use the A4810 Queen's Way, past the Llanwern steel works.
There are no estimates as to how long the road will remain closed.
